Delete Your Account
Last updated: August 3, 2026
You can delete your Aruha account directly from the Aruha mobile app. If you cannot access the app, you can also request deletion by contacting support@aruha.app.
Delete your account in the mobile app
Open the Aruha mobile app while signed in, go to your profile/account area, and choose Delete account. The app shows a warning, then asks you to type DELETE to confirm. For security, the app may also ask you to re-authenticate before account removal is completed.
After you confirm deletion in the app, Aruha deletes your account-related app data first, then removes your Firebase Authentication account.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app or cannot complete deletion inside the app, send an account deletion request to support@aruha.app.
Please include enough information for us to identify the account:
- the email address used for your Aruha account;
- whether you signed in with email/password or Google Sign-In;
- your name, if it is part of your account or support history;
- a clear statement that you want your Aruha account deleted;
- any relevant support context, such as screenshots or prior messages, if they help us identify the account.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to or completing the request.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, Aruha removes the following account-related data:
- your Firestore user data, including pantry, shopping list, budgets, expenses, recipes, and meal plans;
- any legacy or migrated Firestore data associated with your account;
- your Firebase Authentication account;
- local scan debug files and legacy application preference entries created by prior app versions.
What may be retained
Some platform-managed caches may remain on your device after account deletion, including the Firestore offline cache and app-private local storage. These are managed by the platform and are not accessible to Aruha. They are typically cleared when the app is uninstalled or when the device performs a cache cleanup.
Limited data may be retained only where required for security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, service-provider backups, or technical operation, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Support communications may be retained for a reasonable period to handle requests and maintain records. Diagnostic and crash data may be retained for a limited period necessary to debug, secure, and improve the Service.
